Playing fees are payable each week and are:
Adult Members: £8 - up to two hours
Adult Non-Members: £9 - up to two hours
Juniors aged 13 to 16 with a playing adult - £6.
We offer new players their first week for free as a thank you for trying us out!
There is no commitment to play for the full two hours.
You can pay by cash or by bank transfer into our account.
You should always wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes suitable for a sports hall. We require all players to carry out a warm up before playing - this is your responsibility to carry this out. We ask you to do this to avoid injuries and take no responsibility for any injuries incurred by yourself whilst playing.
We play with feather shuttlecocks but do have plastics too, in case you would prefer to play a more ethical game.
Games are played to 21 points and you may have periods in between games waiting for a court to be free. We don't guarantee continuous games. This is a great time to watch and learn from others playing - or have a chat with some of the friendly gang.
You are not expected to play every week and we do not require you to let us know if you are coming or not. We are an informal club and coming along should be fun, not feel like a chore.
You do not need to inform us you are coming during your first week, HOWEVER, it might be a good idea to check we are playing - just in case. It's also nice when we know to look out for a new face.
